Oklahoma County runs multiple detention facilities. The main detention center on Shartel Ave handles most bookings. The Clara Waters Community Corrections Center at 9901 N I-35 Service Road houses all-male inmates in programs like substance abuse treatment and work release. The Public Works Program is also based there. Different facilities serve different purposes, so where an inmate ends up depends on their charges and classification.

The county bought the JailTracker system in 2019 for $250,000 with a monthly maintenance cost of $12,274. The system went live in March 2021. It replaced the old paper system and now stores summary info, arrest charges, booking data, photos, gang info, and holds digitally. This makes searching for Oklahoma County arrest records much faster than it used to be.
